A parent struggling with her own trauma while trying to parent her daughter.

Parents With PTSD

You want to be a parent who is kind and loving, something you never really got growing up as a kid. But you are finding that all the stuff that happened to you long ago makes it hard to parent differently. You end up reacting and then you shut down out of guilt and shame.

When your kids argue, you feel panic and fear. When your kid gets angry, it scares you and triggers you to remember your past. You try to stay calm and not overreact, but you just feel like you are reliving your own childhood over and over again. Sometimes, the things they do or say are so intense and you are at a loss of what they need or how to respond. You don't know how to help your child with tough emotions because you have your own tough emotions to cope with. If you are convinced it does not have to be this way, you are right!

I help parents with PTSD that struggle with anxiety, stress, sadness, and past traumas to heal so they are no longer parenting from a place of fear and overwhelm. I want to help you discover your strengths as a parent so you can enjoy your time with your children, with more confidence. I can show you how to reach a state of calm, even when your child has rage, so you can be in control with love.

I am here to help you avoid the mistakes and find the connection you want so you can find the path to living a healthy happy family life.
